Tambor Leather, a New Subsidiary of Jerry Pair, Launches Global Hospitality Collection of Premium Leathers
2025 Press Release
Tambor Leather, the newest subsidiary of Jerry Pair, proudly launches an exclusive collection of premium leathers designed for the hospitality and contract industries. Founded by Dan Cahoon in 2025, this new business venture will be the second leather company introduced under the Jerry Pair brand. This dedicated focus on the hospitality and contract sectors distinguishes Tambor Leather from its sister company, Jerry Pair Leather, which caters mainly to the luxury residential market. Unlike Jerry Pair Leather, where clients must shop through design showrooms, Tambor Leather allows clients to shop directly.
By leveraging two decades of expertise in the leather business, combined with Jerry Pair’s legacy of excellence in quality and design, Tambor Leather is poised to become the premier authority in the hospitality leather business.
An emphasis on competitive pricing for large-volume orders, the collection includes 250 unique leathers, globally sourced to provide a diverse range of sizes, textures, and distinctive markings tailored to the contract and hospitality industries. Ensuring exceptional durability and performance, all leathers meet essential contract testing requirements, including rub testing, flame resistance, and color fastness.
A deep reverence for leather’s time-honored artisanship was the inspiration behind the new company name. “Tambor Leather is inspired by the artistry of leather-making,” said Dan Cahoon, CEO and President of Tambor Leather. “The tambor drum marks the beginning of the magical process where raw hides transform into the beautiful leather we know and love.”
Due to the vast beauty and appeal of leather, the Tambor Leather collection sources from all over the world, whereas Jerry Pair Leather’s collection is sourced only from Europe. From South America’s rugged landscapes to Turkey’s rich heritage, “our new leather offerings reflect diverse origins and traditions that fit the hospitality aesthetic,” Cahoon added. “Each hide is a testament to the beauty of leather’s exotic locations.”
